Lindsay Lohan to Appear in Playboy; Father Michael Gets Arrested
Posted by Drug Free in Alcohol Abuse, Drug Addiction, Drug Rehabilitation on October 28th, 2011
Reports say that Lindsay Lohan will be appearing in Hugh Hefner’s famous magazine, Playboy. LiLo’s Playboy pictorial is said to take place this week somewhere in Los Angeles.
Representatives from both the magazine’s and Lohan’s camp have yet to release a comment on the news, but it looks like LiLo will be taking her clothes off for the popular men’s mag.
Playboy allegedly offered Lohan $750,000, but the actress’s camp wanted a million. They reportedly agreed somewhere in between the two amounts.
While waiting for her date with Playboy, Lohan will continue her community service at the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office which she has started last Friday. Lohan is expected to fulfill 16 hours of duty and will have to appear in court on November 2nd.
Meanwhile, Lindsay’s also-controversial father Michael Lohan has been arrested in Tampa, Florida for domestic violence.
Police responded to a distress call from Michael’s home, and he was later arrested for physically hurting his live-in partner. But as police took him into custody, Lindsay’s dad complained of chest pains and was taken to a hospital. After checking out from the facility, he was placed under arrest.
Earlier in March, the 51-year-old Lohan was also arrested for the same violation in Los Angeles. He was charged with one misdemeanor count of corporal injury to a cohabitant.
Lindsay and her dad are still on a strained relationship, but they both took a stint at the Betty Ford Center for family counseling while she was undergoing treatment.
Lindsay Lohan Offered Role in Mansons Movie
Posted by Drug Free in Drug Addiction on April 5th, 2011
Despite being in the limelight for almost all the wrong reasons, Lindsay Lohan still gets the breaks. The troubled starlet was offered a role in an upcoming movie about the Mansons. TMZ reports that Lohan will be seen (if she accepts), sooner than everyone thinks, in the big screen when she plays Sharon Tate, the 1960’s sex symbol killed in 1969 by the Mansons.
Lindsay’s escapades are not new to the public. Tabloids have been making headlines — and money — on her disastrous confrontations with the law. From her alcohol and drug addiction cases, to her latest jewelry theft scandal, this Mean Girls and Freaky Fridays star is still making waves in the news. She even wants to change her name in the hopes of reinventing herself!
If Lindsay should say yes to the Mansons movie producer Brad Wyman, she will be playing Tate in the film which has a working title, “Eyes of a Dreamer.” Director Tyler Shields will have another chance of working with the starlet, since the Linda Lovelace biopic did not work out for Lohan last year.
New York Daily tells that Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, is not so keen on her daughter’s role in the movie. He says “I don’t know who is making her decisions for her. But I just wish she would go back to those family-style films, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, you know. This is a bad decision and I don’t know who is telling her to do it.”
The upcoming “Eyes of a Dreamer” feature will be based on Charles Manson and his followers. Sharon Tate was one of the five people that Manson and his group killed even when she was eight months pregnant with her child of then husband, film producer Roman Polanski.
Michael Lohan to Speak at South Florida Teen Rehab

Michael Lohan, the equally controversial father of actress Lindsay Lohan and her siblings Ali, Cody, and Michael Jr., will be in Florida for a chance to visit troubled teens in a rehab facility. He will have a speaking engagement at South Florida for those who are participating in the nationally famous and parent-recommended residential teen rehab program, the Inspirations for Youth and Families.
Michael agreed to speak to the community as a way of keeping his promise to his daughter Lindsay that he will be helping other teenagers and their families survive the critical years of adolescence.
Christopher Walsh and Karen Corcoran Walsh created the Inspirations as a unique approach in working with teens and their families. The Inspirations for Youth and Families is popularly known as the Inspirations Teen Rehab which is a licensed residential treatment center for teens ages 13 to 18 years old. The center serves as the house that will cover therapeutic programs needed by troubled teens and their families.
Michael and the Walshes are concerned with the growing rate of adolescent drug use and the tragedies that arise from these situations. Through the institution, they try to let others know about the dangers of teenage substance abuse and reach out to parents who are losing hope and don’t know what measures to take in dealing with their children’s problems.
Lindsay Lohan Talks to Vanity Fair About Personal Struggles
Posted by Drug Free in Drug Addiction, Drug Rehabilitation on September 3rd, 2010
A few days after her recent sentence was handed down, actress Lindsay Lohan gave an interview to Vanity Fair and talked about, among other things, alcohol and drugs. A feature on USA Today showed excerpts of the interview with the magazine, which is included in an issue that has Lindsay on the cover, due to hit newsstands on September 7.
One of the things that the actress says may have led to what can only be described as a series of unfortunate events in her personal life is being around the wrong sort of people. She also denied being an alcoholic, or abusing prescription drugs – something that her dad Michael Lohan had hinted at, to say the least, quite a few times. She told Vanity Fair: “If I were the alcoholic everyone says I am, then putting a [scram] bracelet on would have ended me up in detox, in the emergency room…”
Lindsay also said that while she does admit to “dabbling in certain things and trying things ’cause I was young and curious and thought it was like, O.K., ’cause other people were doing it and other people put it in front of me,” she denies ever abusing prescription drugs, nor having the desire to do so.
The interview inevitably included questions about her father Michael, and Lindsay reacted to the fact that he gave an interview immediately after attending her probation hearing.
There is one thing that Lindsay is confident about, however: “I don’t care what anyone says. I know that I’m a damn good actress.”
Michael Lohan to Open a Rehab Center!
Posted by Drug Free in Drug Rehabilitation on August 30th, 2010
A post on RadarOnline.com Friday revealed news that some people may find startling, even downright ridiculous: Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan’s father, announced that he was going to open a drug and alcohol rehab center in California.
“Yes it’s true, I’ll be running it,” Lohan reportedly revealed to the site via an exclusive interview. He goes on to say: “I think it’s time that Dina and I both step out of the media for a while, and for me that means getting back to what I know best — helping people with addiction.”
From a certain perspective, it would seem that Mr. Lohan may be able to pull off something like that, if he pulls something out of his “treasure box” of personal experience with substance abuse. After all, if his daughter has her run-ins with the law, he was in the same predicament way before she did.
The fact, though, that he was giving an interview 48 hours after Lindsay’s release from a court-mandated stay in rehab has tongues wagging. The comments section of the feature certainly contained a number of negative reactions, to say the least. Reader Ellie, for instance, said: “He’s blowing smoke again. He has no education & no credentials.”
At any rate, Lohan revealed that he was receiving support from a “really well-known person” that he declined to name, and that he already has a circle of therapists. Financing has already been completed, although the location is reportedly still under negotiation. He said that he will be moving to California to run the center.
Lindsay Lohan Blames Dad for Lost Passport
Posted by Drug Free in Drug Addiction, Drug Rehabilitation on May 21st, 2010
There is never a moment without drama in the Lohan family chronicles, and this episode has a court, a warrant of arrest and a conspiracy involving the theft of a passport to prevent one of the leads from making it to court.
In a previous post, we already shared with you how Lindsay Lohan might not make it to her mandatory court hearing after she allegedly lost her passport while at the Cannes Film festival. We know that stars usually go to these shindigs every year, but can’t Lindsay just decide to miss this one just so she doesn’t annoy the judge handling her case any more than it seems she already has?
In the end, Ms. Lohan did fail to show up in court – and no matter what her lawyer said, Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel did not fall for the reasons and issued a warrant for her arrest.
As for the mystery of the vanishing passport, a report on Today revealed that Lindsay accused her father Michael of having something to do with the theft of her passport through an e-mail sent to Us Magazine. Lindsay reportedly wrote: “I always said my father had someone do it.”
Michael Lohan’s lawyer Lisa Bloom quickly released a statement from the actress’ dad, which effectively denies the insinuations made by his daughter. The elder Lohan said that his pushing Lindsay to go into rehab has angered the actress and led her to blame him for her problems. The statement also reads: “Michael wishes Lindsay the best regardless of what she may say about him, and stands ready, willing and able to help her at any time.”
