Lindsay Lohan Headed Back to Rehab on Monday

More news on actress Lindsay Lohan: she is reportedly headed back into rehab on Monday. This time around, though, she is checking herself in voluntarily, at least based on information from a source close to the actress. This was shared in a feature on CNN.
Ms. Lohan spent some time in jail again after failing a random drug test. She spent 13 days in jail and 23 days in a court-mandated rehab program at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center just last month. The actress was originally ordered to spend 90 days each in jail and in rehab, but was released early. This time around, she spent 14 hours in jail.
Lohan admitted to the failed drug test last week, and sent out the following tweet: “Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night… I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps.”
One positive step is going into rehab voluntarily, something that her dad Michael Lohan, at least according to him, has been pushing for, He said: “Finally, they listened to me.” He expressed hope that Shawn Chapman Holley, his daughter’s lawyer, would do “the right thing and advises her to go right into rehab now, and show the judge she’s serious, because in 30 days when she goes back before the judge he can do whatever he wants.”
Lindsay Lohan was released on $300,000 bail. The bail terms called for Lindsay to be fitted with an alcohol monitoring bracelet. A probation revocation hearing had been scheduled for October 22.
Chicago Lawyer Says No to Lindsay Lohan’s Case

Well, things aren’t getting any better in Lindsay’s world! After having talks with Chicago lawyer Stuart Goldberg for six hours over the weekend, it looks like LL should be looking out for other lawyers who might want to take on her case.
Lindsay’s up for 90 days in jail after her probation revocation hearing last July 6 at a Beverly Hills Court. Shawn Chapman Holley who represented Lohan during the hearing resigned last week.
According to Goldberg, the actress seems not to be aware of what she might be facing during her 90-day prison stint. “I’m concerned that she’s not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences,” he told People mag. Lohan appeared to be in a difficult and dangerous situation and when asked if she might hurt herself, she allegedly started sobbing quietly. The Chicago lawyer even offered a piece of advice to the starlet to leave LA but LL didn’t give any attention on what he had suggested.
Goldberg is said to be very worried on this particular case. Though he refused to take on the matter, he can’t help but voice out his opinion on Lindsay’s present state of mind. After having been able to sit with the Lohans, the actress in particular might have succumbed to the idea that what is happening is just fate and that she’s having an inner sadness that still hasn’t surfaced yet. What becomes scary in her current situation is that she might just take on her jail time and be on a program that will not do her any good. It’s as if she’s already bound to fail.
So, who can be a candidate to help LL? Maybe OJ Simpson’s former lawyer, Robert Shapiro, can do the job for Lindsay. Shapiro’s office when contacted regarding the issue didn’t give any immediate response. We might have to wait and see.
Judge Rules for Deposition of Lindsay Lohan in 2007 Car Chase

Judge Richard A. Stone of the Los Angeles Superior Court has ruled that actress Lindsay Lohan should undergo a two-hour deposition next month to answer questions regarding the 2007 car chase she was allegedly involved in. The ruling was handed down on Thursday according to a report by the Associated Press. The deposition will include questions regarding her drug use at that time.
The answers that will be provided by Ms. Lohan will be used in a civil lawsuit that was filed against her which accuses her of causing the complainant – Tracie Rice – emotional distress.
Lindsay Lohan was said to be involved in a car chase in July 2007. Tracie Rice was a passenger in the car that Lindsay allegedly chased. A month after the incident, Rice sued the actress for “assault, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” A trial for the case has been scheduled for late July. Lindsay has since been charged with seven misdemeanors due to the chase as well as another incident before that.
Paul Hoffman, lawyer for Tracie Rice, said: “This case is about somebody who claims to be sober and had cocaine and blew a DUI for alcohol.” The questions that Lindsay will answer during the deposition, he claims, will be important in the decision of the jury as to whether the actress will have to pay punitive damages.
Ed McPherson, lawyer for Lindsay Lohan, however, is in the opinion that the questions seem to be geared towards embarrassing Lindsay in the press.
