Lindsay Lohan Leaves Rehab!

Lindsay Lohan has been released from rehab, according to a post on the Los Angeles Times. The actress was originally ordered to spend ninety days in rehab, but has been released from the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after staying for only 22 days. Prior to her stay in rehab, Lohan served 13 days out of a ninety-day jail sentence.

Lindsay LohanMs. Lohan’s release from rehab, however, is accompanied by conditions released by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox. Fox ordered that Lindsay undergo intensive outpatient therapy for the next three months, which will include regular counseling and the need to stay in Los Angeles County. She will also be under supervised probation during this time.

The actress will have to comply with the following conditions: that she remain in Los Angeles Country for the duration of the supervised probation, that she undergo random drug testing twice a week, that she undergo psychotherapy four times a week and meet with counselors five times a week. Should Lindsay fail or miss a drug test, it will mean jail time for 30 days.

Lindsay’s lawyer Shawn Chapman Holley shared the following update with reporters after the hearing on Wednesday, where Judge Fox clarified the terms of the actress’ probation: “She has changed… She’s healthy, she’s clear-headed, she’s positive.”

Holley said further that her client’s early release was based on the fact that doctors concluded that there was no further need for Lindsay to stay in the facility: “They started their own fresh evaluation, put her through their own testing and recognized that there was no need for her to be there any longer.”

Lindsay Lohan Misdiagnosed for Bipolar Disorder and Drug Addiction

lindsay lohanDoctors who evaluated actress Lindsay Lohan during her stay at the Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital of UCLA at Westwood are in the opinion that the actress was misdiagnosed for bipolar disorder and drug addiction, according to a feature on the New York Daily News.

Ms. Lohan has stopped taking her medications, which included Dilaudid, Ambien, Adderall, Zoloft, Trazodone and Nexium, according to the report. She did not, however, show any unfavorable reactions, despite having to stop taking her medications. She also did not exhibit withdrawal symptoms to the absence of alcohol.

Another misdiagnosis for Ms. Lohan is having Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), which is the reason why she was taking Adderall; the doctors at UCLA say that she is not suffering from the condition. People such as Ms. Lohan, who apparently was taking Adderall unnecessarily, are reportedly susceptible to bizarre symptoms such as: “driving around until all hours of the morning … smoking heavily … tweeting … and texting all night long,” as shared by addiction specialist Dr. Joe Haraszti to gossip site TMZ.com.

Chicago Lawyer Says No to Lindsay Lohan’s Case

Well, things aren’t getting any better in Lindsay’s world! After having talks with Chicago lawyer Stuart Goldberg for six hours over the weekend, it looks like LL should be looking out for other lawyers who might want to take on her case.

Lindsay Lohan in courtLindsay’s up for 90 days in jail after her probation revocation hearing last July 6 at a Beverly Hills Court. Shawn Chapman Holley who represented Lohan during the hearing resigned last week.

According to Goldberg, the actress seems not to be aware of what she might be facing during her 90-day prison stint. “I’m concerned that she’s not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences,” he told People mag. Lohan appeared to be in a difficult and dangerous situation and when asked if she might hurt herself, she allegedly started sobbing quietly. The Chicago lawyer even offered a piece of advice to the starlet to leave LA but LL didn’t give any attention on what he had suggested.

Goldberg is said to be very worried on this particular case. Though he refused to take on the matter, he can’t help but voice out his opinion on Lindsay’s present state of mind. After having been able to sit with the Lohans, the actress in particular might have succumbed to the idea that what is happening is just fate and that she’s having an inner sadness that still hasn’t surfaced yet. What becomes scary in her current situation is that she might just take on her jail time and be on a program that will not do her any good. It’s as if she’s already bound to fail.

So, who can be a candidate to help LL? Maybe OJ Simpson’s former lawyer, Robert Shapiro, can do the job for Lindsay. Shapiro’s office when contacted regarding the issue didn’t give any immediate response. We might have to wait and see.

Lindsay Lohan Blames Dad for Lost Passport

There is never a moment without drama in the Lohan family chronicles, and this episode has a court, a warrant of arrest and a conspiracy involving the theft of a passport to prevent one of the leads from making it to court.

lindsay lohanIn a previous post, we already shared with you how Lindsay Lohan might not make it to her mandatory court hearing after she allegedly lost her passport while at the Cannes Film festival. We know that stars usually go to these shindigs every year, but can’t Lindsay just decide to miss this one just so she doesn’t annoy the judge handling her case any more than it seems she already has?

In the end, Ms. Lohan did fail to show up in court – and no matter what her lawyer said, Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel did not fall for the reasons and issued a warrant for her arrest.

As for the mystery of the vanishing passport, a report on Today revealed that Lindsay accused her father Michael of having something to do with the theft of her passport through an e-mail sent to Us Magazine. Lindsay reportedly wrote: “I always said my father had someone do it.”

Michael Lohan’s lawyer Lisa Bloom quickly released a statement from the actress’ dad, which effectively denies the insinuations made by his daughter. The elder Lohan said that his pushing Lindsay to go into rehab has angered the actress and led her to blame him for her problems. The statement also reads: “Michael wishes Lindsay the best regardless of what she may say about him, and stands ready, willing and able to help her at any time.”

Lindsay Lohan Stuck in Paris and Won’t Make It to Court

Michael Lohan’s lawyer Lisa Bloom has sent a letter to the Honorable Marsha Revel on behalf of her client. The letter asked the Judge Marshall, in whose court the case of actress Lindsay Lohan resides, to order “frequent, random, court-ordered drug testing.” We can only wonder about what Judge Revel’s reaction will be when Ms. Lohan is unable to appear in her chambers for a scheduled hearing on Thursday.

lindsay lohanThe hearing will look into the actress’ compliance of her probation sentence for a drunken driving conviction in 2007, according to a feature on CNN. Her probation calls for her to attend weekly alcohol counseling programs; according to reports, she was not able to faithfully attend sessions. Judge Revel had given the actress a warning in October that she will be hauled off to jail if the is unable to comply with these terms.

These things will be taken into account at Thursday’s hearing, but it looks like Lindsay will not make it to her court date as she is reportedly stuck in France. Lohan was attending the Cannes Film Festival and missed a flight from France because she lost her U.S. passport. She is still waiting for a replacement passport in Paris. Attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said: “I don’t know if it was stolen or lost, misplaced,” although Lohan was said to be “doing everything in her power to get back to the States.” Will Judge Revel buy that, or is Lindsay in trouble with the court yet again?

Lindsay Lohan and Her Troubles: Are Her Parents to Blame?

Type in her name on any search engine and you will most likely find a list of entries following her and her family’s misadventures – more that than the good things that she has accomplished as a child star. Her reputation nowadays only seems to evoke images of wild parties, drugs and booze; where is the befreckled Annie/Hallie people used to love?

Lindsay LohanTo say that Lindsay Lohan seems to be in trouble may be an understatement. Some might say: what is it to the rest of the world? The thing is, she is a celebrity; and one who saw stardom as a child. Whether we like it or not, what she does can affect some households in one of two ways: kids may learn what they ought not to do, or follow suit.

In a recent post on Associated Content, it is shared that Lindsay showed up late for her third attempt at giving a deposition regarding her DUI arrest in 2007. She allegedly stole a vehicle with three people in it while drunk and took them for a joyride. Her mom Dina reportedly came to LA to make sure that Lindsay showed up this time; this was her last chance after skipping the first two. And why was she late? Could it be that she was seen partying till 2 a.m. at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood as reported on E! Online with her mom in tow?

And where was concerned dad Michael at that time? Why at Industry Club, of course.

We have written quite a bit about the role that a family plays in the success – and failure – of turning a troubled person’s life around. While it may be unfair for anyone to judge, one cannot help but think; how exactly is Lindsay going to get up, if there doesn’t seem to be anyone fit enough to prop her up?
