Lindsay Lohan to Appear in Playboy; Father Michael Gets Arrested

Reports say that Lindsay Lohan will be appearing in Hugh Hefner’s famous magazine, Playboy. LiLo’s Playboy pictorial is said to take place this week somewhere in Los Angeles.

Lindsay LohanRepresentatives from both the magazine’s and Lohan’s camp have yet to release a comment on the news, but it looks like LiLo will be taking her clothes off for the popular men’s mag.

Playboy allegedly offered Lohan $750,000, but the actress’s camp wanted a million. They reportedly agreed somewhere in between the two amounts.

While waiting for her date with Playboy, Lohan will continue her community service at the Los Angeles Coroner’s Office which she has started last Friday. Lohan is expected to fulfill 16 hours of duty and will have to appear in court on November 2nd.

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s also-controversial father Michael Lohan has been arrested in Tampa, Florida for domestic violence.

Police responded to a distress call from Michael’s home, and he was later arrested for physically hurting his live-in partner. But as police took him into custody, Lindsay’s dad complained of chest pains and was taken to a hospital. After checking out from the facility, he was placed under arrest.

Earlier in March, the 51-year-old Lohan was also arrested for the same violation in Los Angeles. He was charged with one misdemeanor count of corporal injury to a cohabitant.

Lindsay and her dad are still on a strained relationship, but they both took a stint at the Betty Ford Center for family counseling while she was undergoing treatment.

Court to Lindsay: Stop Partying at Home

Lindsay Lohan may be under house arrest, but that did not stop the 24-year old starlet to have some fun.

Lindsay LohanWell, it looks like Lohan might have to behave and keep it low at her Venice home or face the wrath of Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner. According to a feature on myfox9.com, Lindsay was summoned back to the courts when she failed her alcohol test and ignited the possibility of her violating the conditions of her probation for the 2007 misdemeanor DUI case.

Fortunately, Judge Sautner did not find any violation in her probation when Lohan tested positive for alcohol as her requirement to undergo testing has expired since February 25. The “Mean Girls” star definitely had luck on her side as she faced the possibility of being sent to jail if she indeed had violations.

The courts criticized Lindsay instead for having “extremely poor judgment” when she was photographed partying on the roof of her house with friends. “Don’t do stupid things that fly in the face of the spirit of the court’s order,” the judge said. “Having parties on your roof … how dumb is that?”

Judge Sautner then ordered Lohan to stop having parties while she is on house arrest. Due to overcrowding in prison, Lindsay was allowed to be under the said condition and she is expected to fulfill the requirement for at least 30 days. She will also have to complete 480 hours of community service too as part of her probation.

Lohan’s attorney, Shawn Holley, was quick to defend her client saying that the “Freaky Friday” star is not under any restrictions for alcohol. “Alcohol is a legal substance,” she said. “So to the extent that she tested positive for alcohol, if she did, it’s not a violation of her probation.”

Lohan’s lawyer added that her client is doing nothing wrong, and that she should be given credit for it.

Lindsay Lohan Goes Back to Jail!

The charges against troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan have finally been decided on and the courts have arrived with a sentence for her, with Lohan changing her plea and effectively admitting to stealing a gold necklace from a jewelry store worth $2500.

Lindsay LohanJudge Stephanie Sautner bestowed upon Lindsay 120 days in jail, 480 hours of community service; and she has to be in jail by June 17. Just last month, the same judge ordered the same punishment for her and it’s double trouble for the starlet, whether she likes it or not.

On the brighter side, though, it’s rumored that Lindsay will just be behind bars for 16 or 17 days, and there’s even a possibility of putting her under house arrest, according to a Reuters report. The actress, after receiving the final judgment, released a statement saying that she’s “glad to be able to put this in the past and finally move on with my life and career.” This time the “Mean Girls” star admits to her faults, “I support the judge’s decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation.”

In the last four years, Lohan has been struggling with her alcohol and drugs addiction problems, going in and out of jail due to her misdemeanors. Last January, she was accused of stealing the gold necklace from a store in Los Angeles but insisted that she was not guilty of doing so.

This week, her lawyers entered a no contest plea to a previously reduced charge of misdemeanor theft. Her lawyers were also quick to request for her jail sentence to be turned into a house arrest case or an electronic monitoring program since Los Angeles jails have become overcrowded.

Aside from her sentence, Lohan will also undergo complete psychological counseling and an anti-shoplifting program. Despite her drunk driving and cocaine possession arrests, Lindsay still has her luck as she is slated to be in a movie with actors John Travolta and Al Pacino in a feature about the New York Gotti crime family.

Plea Deal Would Mean Jail Time for Lindsay Lohan

As if she hasn’t been in enough trouble yet, Lindsay Lohan is now back in court for another mischief, this time involving a $2,500 necklace that she allegedly stole in an upscale jewelry store. The judge who handled the case said he would sentence Lohan to jail if she accepts a plea bargain offered by the prosecutors to avoid trial.

Lindsay LohanSuperior Judge Keith Schwartz of the Los Angeles Courts told the troubled starlet what she will be facing if she pleads guilty or no contest on her felony case. “If you plead in front of me, if this case is resolved in front of me, you are going to jail, period,” Schwartz said. Her attorney, Shawn Holley started to read the terms of the plea bargain and had a closed-chamber session with Schwartz. Details were not released but it has been said that Lohan did not accept the deal and pleaded not guilty.

After leaving the court, Lindsay immediately left without any statement regarding her predicament. Clutching her mother’s hand, the starlet left without speaking to the media. Outside of the courthouse, her father Michael Lohan, said that the case was over-prosecuted.

This latest development adds another detail in her already tarnished record. The star has been sent to jail twice and had entered rehab several times. Lohan spent three months at the Betty Ford Center and was then involved in misdemeanor case for hurting a worker last December.

Three weeks after her release, the starlet was accused of stealing a necklace from the Kamofie Co. jewelry store which was just near her new home in Venice. The item was turned over to the detectives before they could serve a warrant to search her home. Her lawyer denied that she stole the necklace.

Lindsay Lohan Will Go to Jail, Says New Lawyer

Troubled actress Lindsay Lohan will definitely go to jail on Tuesday.  This is according to her new lawyer, Robert Shapiro, who only agreed to take the case if and only if Lindsay goes to jail. So there’s no escaping LL’s jail time as her celebrity lawyer had imposed it upon her to serve her sentence.

lindsay lohan in courtLohan has to serve 90 days in jail as a result of California Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel’s decision when Lohan was found violating the terms of her probation on drunk driving case and failed to attend her alcohol education classes. Her former lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, resigned after she found the judge’s decision too harsh on Lindsay. In the last few days, Holley hinted that Lindsay might be hiring Shapiro to evade prison time.

But Robert Shapiro had something else on his mind. “I have agreed to represent Ms. Lohan on the condition she comply with the terms of probation, including a requirement of jail imposed by Judge Marsha Revel,” Shapiro said in a message to Reuters. “Ms. Lohan is suffering from a disease that I am all too familiar with. Hopefully, I can be of assistance to Ms. Lohan and Judge Revel in implementing a treatment approach recommended by medical professionals for Ms. Lohan’s long term recovery and sobriety,” the statement said.

Shapiro is no stranger to Lohan’s case. After his son Brent died in 2005 after taking ecstasy drugs while drinking, he has been an active participant in the fight against drug addiction and has been helping others who are in dangerous drugs situations to overcome their deadly habits.

He has also helped a lot of celebrities and was a part of OJ Simpson’s “dream team” when he was accused of murdering his wife. Shapiro’s family also established the Brent Shapiro Foundation and the Pickford Lofts sober living facility in LA where Lindsay Lohan is reportedly staying since early this week.

Chicago Lawyer Says No to Lindsay Lohan’s Case

Well, things aren’t getting any better in Lindsay’s world! After having talks with Chicago lawyer Stuart Goldberg for six hours over the weekend, it looks like LL should be looking out for other lawyers who might want to take on her case.

Lindsay Lohan in courtLindsay’s up for 90 days in jail after her probation revocation hearing last July 6 at a Beverly Hills Court. Shawn Chapman Holley who represented Lohan during the hearing resigned last week.

According to Goldberg, the actress seems not to be aware of what she might be facing during her 90-day prison stint. “I’m concerned that she’s not disciplined or tethered enough to the reality of adult consequences,” he told People mag. Lohan appeared to be in a difficult and dangerous situation and when asked if she might hurt herself, she allegedly started sobbing quietly. The Chicago lawyer even offered a piece of advice to the starlet to leave LA but LL didn’t give any attention on what he had suggested.

Goldberg is said to be very worried on this particular case. Though he refused to take on the matter, he can’t help but voice out his opinion on Lindsay’s present state of mind. After having been able to sit with the Lohans, the actress in particular might have succumbed to the idea that what is happening is just fate and that she’s having an inner sadness that still hasn’t surfaced yet. What becomes scary in her current situation is that she might just take on her jail time and be on a program that will not do her any good. It’s as if she’s already bound to fail.

So, who can be a candidate to help LL? Maybe OJ Simpson’s former lawyer, Robert Shapiro, can do the job for Lindsay. Shapiro’s office when contacted regarding the issue didn’t give any immediate response. We might have to wait and see.
