Rehab Center Employee Files $1-M Lawsuit Against Lindsay Lohan

It looks like the end of Lindsay Lohan’s troubles is not coming anytime soon as she faces yet another legal problem courtesy of the employee whom she allegedly assaulted while inside a rehab center in California.

Dawn Bradley and Lindsay LohanOn Thursday, Lohan was slapped with a million dollar civil lawsuit filed by Dawn Holland, who now goes by Dawn Bradley, the employee at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Springs who claimed she was yelled at and physically assaulted by Lohan when she tried to ask the “Mean Girls” star for a breathalyzer test in December while under the rehab facility’s care. Bradley, in her court statement, said that Lindsay grabbed her wrist and twisted it and threw a phone at her.

Bradley cited the injury in her wrist, the therapy sessions she had for the post-traumatic stress syndrome she acquired due to the incident, and the medical expenses she incurred as the main reasons why she is asking for $1 million worth of damages from Lohan.

The Riverside County who first handled the case did not file criminal charges on Lindsay since there wasn’t enough evidence, at that time, to convince them of all the allegations.

A Reuters report also confirmed that the 25-year-old actress has yet to undergo the psychological counseling as part of her sentence for stealing a necklace in January. Her lawyer, Shawn Holley, says her client is having difficulty finding services of an affordable individual treatment.

But for Los Angeles prosecutor Melanie Chavira who handles Lohan’s case, the starlet’s reason seems unbelievable. As a result, Judge Stephanie Sautner gave Lindsay another 21 days to get help. “I don’t know whether she is working or what she is doing to get an income…If she doesn’t have the means, maybe she knows someone who can help out,” the judge adds.

Despite her predicament, the “Freaky Friday” star will still be in a major production alongside John Travolta and Al Pacino which is due to start this fall.

Lindsay Lohan Goes Back to Jail!

The charges against troubled starlet Lindsay Lohan have finally been decided on and the courts have arrived with a sentence for her, with Lohan changing her plea and effectively admitting to stealing a gold necklace from a jewelry store worth $2500.

Lindsay LohanJudge Stephanie Sautner bestowed upon Lindsay 120 days in jail, 480 hours of community service; and she has to be in jail by June 17. Just last month, the same judge ordered the same punishment for her and it’s double trouble for the starlet, whether she likes it or not.

On the brighter side, though, it’s rumored that Lindsay will just be behind bars for 16 or 17 days, and there’s even a possibility of putting her under house arrest, according to a Reuters report. The actress, after receiving the final judgment, released a statement saying that she’s “glad to be able to put this in the past and finally move on with my life and career.” This time the “Mean Girls” star admits to her faults, “I support the judge’s decision and hold myself accountable for being in this situation.”

In the last four years, Lohan has been struggling with her alcohol and drugs addiction problems, going in and out of jail due to her misdemeanors. Last January, she was accused of stealing the gold necklace from a store in Los Angeles but insisted that she was not guilty of doing so.

This week, her lawyers entered a no contest plea to a previously reduced charge of misdemeanor theft. Her lawyers were also quick to request for her jail sentence to be turned into a house arrest case or an electronic monitoring program since Los Angeles jails have become overcrowded.

Aside from her sentence, Lohan will also undergo complete psychological counseling and an anti-shoplifting program. Despite her drunk driving and cocaine possession arrests, Lindsay still has her luck as she is slated to be in a movie with actors John Travolta and Al Pacino in a feature about the New York Gotti crime family.

Lindsay Lohan Offered Role in Mansons Movie

Despite being in the limelight for almost all the wrong reasons, Lindsay Lohan still gets the breaks. The troubled starlet was offered a role in an upcoming movie about the Mansons. TMZ reports that Lohan will be seen (if she accepts), sooner than everyone thinks, in the big screen when she plays Sharon Tate, the 1960’s sex symbol killed in 1969 by the Mansons.

Lindsay Lohan Sharon TateLindsay’s escapades are not new to the public. Tabloids have been making headlines — and money — on her disastrous confrontations with the law. From her alcohol and drug addiction cases, to her latest jewelry theft scandal, this Mean Girls and Freaky Fridays star is still making waves in the news. She even wants to change her name in the hopes of reinventing herself!

If Lindsay should say yes to the Mansons movie producer Brad Wyman, she will be playing Tate in the film which has a working title, “Eyes of a Dreamer.” Director Tyler Shields will have another chance of working with the starlet, since the Linda Lovelace biopic did not work out for Lohan last year.

New York Daily tells that Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, is not so keen on her daughter’s role in the movie. He says “I don’t know who is making her decisions for her. But I just wish she would go back to those family-style films, The Parent Trap, Freaky Friday, you know. This is a bad decision and I don’t know who is telling her to do it.”

The upcoming “Eyes of a Dreamer” feature will be based on Charles Manson and his followers. Sharon Tate was one of the five people that Manson and his group killed even when she was eight months pregnant with her child of then husband, film producer Roman Polanski.

Judge Delays Sentence on Lindsay Lohan Theft Case

Lindsay Lohan’s theft case has become a lot more complicated than it was in the beginning. The judge handling the troubled starlet’s case has given her another two weeks to think things over and plead guilty to the case she’s being accused of. Lindsay is accused of stealing a $2,500 necklace in January just weeks after she went out of rehab.

Lindsay LohanLos Angeles Court Judge Keith Schwartz has given the starlet and her lawyers another two weeks to come up with a deal that will allow the accused to plead guilty since until Thursday, which was the first deadline set by the judge, they still haven’t come up with anything amicable to both parties. This time, the judge has set the extension until March 25 and if things don’t get better, they will be appearing in a preliminary hearing on the 22nd of April with a new judge taking over Schwartz’s position.

Judge Schwartz has repeatedly warned the actress that she will be put back to jail if she does not plead guilty and abide by the court’s decisions on her case.

Lindsay has yet to bounce back from her alcohol and drug problems which have sent her career down the drain. Not so long ago, she starred in hit films such as “Freaky Friday” and “Mean Girls.” Her career would have gone far if it weren’t for the troubles that she went through which are still pretty much the same until now.

If her case reaches the April preliminary hearing, a new judge will be in charge and will decide if there is enough evidence to bring Lohan to trial. Her violations against her 2007 probation for drunk driving and drug addiction will also be weighed and when there is proof that she did violate the rules, it would be the starlet’s fourth time to go to jail.

Plea Deal Would Mean Jail Time for Lindsay Lohan

As if she hasn’t been in enough trouble yet, Lindsay Lohan is now back in court for another mischief, this time involving a $2,500 necklace that she allegedly stole in an upscale jewelry store. The judge who handled the case said he would sentence Lohan to jail if she accepts a plea bargain offered by the prosecutors to avoid trial.

Lindsay LohanSuperior Judge Keith Schwartz of the Los Angeles Courts told the troubled starlet what she will be facing if she pleads guilty or no contest on her felony case. “If you plead in front of me, if this case is resolved in front of me, you are going to jail, period,” Schwartz said. Her attorney, Shawn Holley started to read the terms of the plea bargain and had a closed-chamber session with Schwartz. Details were not released but it has been said that Lohan did not accept the deal and pleaded not guilty.

After leaving the court, Lindsay immediately left without any statement regarding her predicament. Clutching her mother’s hand, the starlet left without speaking to the media. Outside of the courthouse, her father Michael Lohan, said that the case was over-prosecuted.

This latest development adds another detail in her already tarnished record. The star has been sent to jail twice and had entered rehab several times. Lohan spent three months at the Betty Ford Center and was then involved in misdemeanor case for hurting a worker last December.

Three weeks after her release, the starlet was accused of stealing a necklace from the Kamofie Co. jewelry store which was just near her new home in Venice. The item was turned over to the detectives before they could serve a warrant to search her home. Her lawyer denied that she stole the necklace.

He will have a speaking engagement at South Florida for those who are participating in the nationally famous and parent-recommended residential teen rehab program, the Inspirations for Youth and Families.
