Woman Carries Condoms with Cocaine in Her Stomach!

21-year-old Luisa Gill of Union City, N.J. faces trafficking charges as she reportedly swallowed 50 latex condoms filled with cocaine and boarded a JetBlue flight from the Dominican Republic.

Luisa GillEven before Gill arrived at Logan International Airport at 8 p.m., authorities were already alerted due to her same-day flight reservation and her point of origin, the Dominican Republic. As soon as she landed, she was asked by State Police for questioning. She admitted swallowing the pellets of pressed coke before her flight.

The cocaine she carried weighed around a pound and has an estimated street value of $50,000. Gill said she was paid $2,000.

Police later found that waiting for Gill inside Terminal E was Daniel Rivera Valasquez, who admitted he was paid $500 to pick her up. He was to take her to a man named “Ramon.” Valasquez is now in the custody of US Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Gill was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital as her case is not really without danger. Just last month, a man who carried drug packs in his stomach to Malaysia died when one of the packs burst. Doctors used laxatives on Gill to expedite the removal of the pellets from her system.

500 Pounds of Marijuana Busted in Minneapolis

After a period of surveillance and studying gang activities, the Minneapolis Police Gang Enforcement Team have proven that they have what it takes to put a stop on illegal drugs activities, at least in their area.

The team successfully busted a total of more than 500 pounds of marijuana, 1.5 kilos of cocaine and some guns. Four people are now facing charges for what has been uncovered by the sting.

marijuanaIt has been a fact that in recent days, the streets of Minneapolis have been a site for violence where gangs and drugs play great roles. With what the police has been able to do, it sends out a clear signal that they are dead set on catching the criminals.

Capt. Don Banham, a member of the Enforcement Team has said that they were able to establish three things on this operation. First, they were able to take out the drugs in the street. It’s no joke to have that much drugs in the area and the money involved will really be significant. Second, by catching the criminals, they have somehow disrupted their behaviors and prevent their planned drug-related activities. Third, with the arrests made and people put behind bars, Minneapolis streets may become a little peaceful, although not completely free from crooks. This can somehow decrease violent scenarios in the streets which have been happening for the past couple of months.

Aside from the drugs and guns that were seized, a whopping $100,000 was also confiscated. Minneapolis Police authorities are hoping for more successful drug busts in the coming days. They are seeking the help of civilians to eradicate violence and drug operations on the streets. If people will become active in the fight against illegal drugs, police work can be made a lot easier.

Cocaine Makes Mockery of World Cup!

With the World Cup dwindling down to its last stages, the football fever reached its highest temperature perhaps a little too much. A very unique replica of the World Cup statue was seized by drug police in Colombia stating that it was made out of cocaine. The 14-inch golden World Cup statue was made of 11 kilos of cocaine that was mixed with gasoline or acetone in order to make it mouldable.

World Cup cocaineAccording to the Latin American Hearld Tribune report, it was cleverly hidden in the storage areas of the El Dorado airport along with jerseys of the teams that qualified for the World Cup semi-finals and is headed for Spain. Cocaine is said to cost about $50 to $70 per gram.

Almost a whopping 75% of all cocaine is grown and manufactured in Colombia, with some factories located just passed the borders of Bolivia, Ecuador and Peru. Colombia is well known for its dark history with drug lords with names such as Pablo Escabar in the early 90’s, almost taking over Medellin by leading a deadly bounty hunting for policemen.

Cocaine’s effects are extremely damaging on a person’s body and the continued use and consequent addiction to it can cause severe damages and even death. Although each person reacts to cocaine differently, many users experience these common short-term effects — increase in blood pressure, constricted blood vessels, mental alertness, increased vigor, increased heart rate, decrease in appetite and dilated pupils.
