The hit reality TV show Celebrity Rehab, said to be struggling to gather a solid roster of celebrities facing drug problems to showcase in the show’s emotional roller coaster ride, has set its eyes on 34-year-old Jennifer Capriati.
Celebrity Rehab is trying to convince the tennis star to agree to be the headliner of the show, with C-list names like Tila Tequila and former Laguna Beach actor Jason Wahler. The invitation is said to come with a really fat paycheck.
Jennifer Capriati was the world’s number 1 female tennis star. Winning three Grand Slam single titles (2001, 2001 Australian Open and 2001 French Open) and the women’s singles gold medal in the 1992 Olympic Games, she has proven her skills, determination and discipline — until her painful and unfortunate fall.
Various reports share that the show’s release has been delayed since they could not convince top celebrities to join. Lindsay Lohan was asked to be on the show for a whopping $1 million dollars, but LiLo declined.
Celebrity Rehab is a reality television series that showcases celebrities as they undergo treatment for their diverse drug and alcohol addictions. Under the guidance of Dr. Drew Pinsky and his staff at the Pasadena Recovery Center, the celebrities undergo a full season of treatment. Celebrities who have joined the show in the past include Dennis Rodman, Ricco Rodriguez, Gary Busey and Mindy McCready.
