You don’t have to be the Brady Bunch to keep your family happy. Most families are broken in some aspect of their lives; some have their parents separated or divorced, others have little to no friends, are in the midst of a financial crisis, or deal with members that have severe drug problems. Each family tells a different story and has its own set of problems to deal with. But there are those that stand above and stay together despite the challenges that life brings them. So now, a question comes to mind: How do they stay together?
The answer is simple: continued interaction with each other. More often than not, the problems of a family lie within their inability to communicate with each other properly. There are children positively screaming for their parents’ attention, doing everything they can to be recognized for their efforts, only to be left unnoticed by their parents. This is where vices may tend to start – when all hope for getting a little attention has disappeared.
Sometimes, interacting with each other is an easier task said than done, especially if family members have steered away from one another for quite a time already, but it is important that you keep at it. After all, it is better to keep on trying than not doing anything. Once you have reestablished this trusting relationship with each other, then go ahead and do some activities with them.
Go bowling. Go fishing. Watch a basketball game. Play some baseball. Go on a picnic. While these are pretty generic activities for a family to do, they are actually some of the most memorable to have. Give them something good to remember. Whatever you choose to do with your family, the important thing to remember here is to never stop trying.
